I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist with the Warwick Hospital, South Warwickshire Foundation Trust. The clinical service I offer includes assessment, investigation and diagnosis of adult general ophthalmic disease.
My specialist area of interest is retinal disease, such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vascular disease. I carry out cataract surgery, minor lid procedures (cysts etc), intra-ocular injections, retinal laser, YAG laser and SLT laser treatments.

Dr Ricardo Peixoto is a highly regarded Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon based at the Royal Derby Hospital, specialised in managing a wide range of eye conditions. He has qualifications from the University of Warwick and a PhD in genetics from the University of Edinburgh. He has combined his strong academic foundation with advanced clinical training, as he went on to complete fellowships in glaucoma at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, and the Birmingham Midlands Eye Centre. He specialises in glaucoma care, particularly complex cases requiring innovative surgical interventions like glaucoma drainage devices and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS)
